So, one of these then? 465 or 365?
ROn, I have a couple of ENermax PSUs - they are very quiet and quality pieces of kit. I have the 465W & the 550w.  I fyou don't want to overclock then the 465w will do fine.  The 550w is the one to go for to run all those peripherals *and* overclock.  The 550w comes with aluminium braided cables (see piccies in my overclock machine thread).

Yep.  One of those 465 puppies should do the job nicely.

Now the subject of mobos. I'm pretty well decided on AOpen. I've got one in my present machine and it's given me no trouble. On top of that the instruction manual and BIOS upgrading are childs play. (suits you sir) Comments? The cpu will be a P4 3.4.

Lian Li case arrived today and the psu yesterday. Lovely lovely case. Popped the PSU in and stood back to admire handiwork. Motherboard and HDD next.

God, I'm working up a head of steam now. CPU (P4 3.4) ordered along with 512 of PC3200(Crucial) ram. I looked at all the super-duper ram from Corsair but as I'm not an overclocker at heart I decided on more ordinary stuff. Reluctantly I've decided to utilise my 9700 pro for the time being and stick any old graphics card in the old pc. It'll only be used as a server anyway. :lmfao:

If there's no overclocking then the Crucial RAM is a good choice Ron.  Good quality and good value :D

Here's one for you. I have a full copy of XP Home and I'm going to try to blag a re-authorisation on it for the new rig. Failing that, can I get away with buying the upgrade with the backup of a W98SE disc WITHOUT installing W98SE first? I heard somewhere that you could install the upgrade to the point where it will ask for a copy of 98 or Me. Is this true or am I deluding myself?
