played around in the beta lastnight as a support, i found it fun enough to want to carry on.  But i hated the way BF4 hackers took over alot of the time which drove me away from that, and the fact this was before i joined DMW back on cs:go, hoping this will re-ignite the fun with others to group up with.

Really hope they don't release too many paid for expansions too soon :(

I'd have to disagree with the slow paced statement. I played a few games yesterday and one this morning and I was not stood in the same spot for more than two minutes. I spent most of my time in vehicles today and it was so much fun supporting the ground troops capture the objectives and shooting down planes. I have uploaded some clips to YouTube and will link them below. Playing this has increased the chance of me buying it as have only experienced one bug so far and hopefully it'll be fixed upon release.

All the DLC for Battlefield 5 is free.

I don't think the slow paced comments are leaning towards your players play style but more towards the gameplay. If you read the article Chaos posted it's more, yes your soldier wasn't stood still for more than 2 minutes but you was running backwards and forwards to the supply crates rather than being in battle.

There's no denying they've added attrition to slow the game down and make it more squad based/tactical.

I'm kind of enjoying it, it's growing on me. My Assault class is rank 8 and my STG is maxed, my other classes are around rank 5 (apart from support I'll play today). Hope there's more weapons and progression on release.

Oh absolutely they will. It wouldn't be an EA game if they didn't find a way to stick it to the customers :D !

On that optimistic note, I have put my money where my mouth is and purchased the game via CD Keys (£36). I've really enjoyed the few hours I've played, it's just the sort of gameplay I'm looking for right now.

That said, I do not advice preordering unless you are sure. The game could absolutely still flop, or launch with problem after problem, who knows! It'd be great to play with some dMw, perhaps on a Friday night (:D) but don't preorder counting on that as we know it's hard to tell how many in the community will jump in, and for how long. Caution is advised!

Do we know anything regarding server hire in this new game? They ruined that in BF1 and i'm unsure if they ever fixed it.

Chaosphere

I don't think there is an 'official answer' on it yet. Take that as 'I wouldn't hold your breath'. :roflmao:

shame, as 4 man squads it's extremely limiting from a community perspective.

Sorry Angry Joe. EA do what they do and as long as the money keeps coming why would they ever stop.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

I must say, the in game currency system and lack of in action weapon changing or mod attachment changing is an immersion killer. When you have games like Escape from Tarkov that allow you to do practically anything to your weapons in a game, or even good old CS:GO that at least allows you to pickup your recently killed enemy's gun. Also 2 clips of ammo and then back to restock you go? Or 32 guns in game, most AAA shooters have a lot more choice. Just feeling they are doing all they can to string out a short game and make it live longer.

It's one thing that many of the YouTube commentaries pick up on too. I don't disagree, having to drop out of game to change your weapons is jarring. I'd like to see it changed by release, but the pessimist in my feels this is unlikely with EA... For me it isn't a deal breaker, but I certainly don't disagree that it isn't ideal.

The weapon choice doesn't bother me too much, as I tended to just use 3 or 4 of the 80+ in the older Battlefields anyway. Again though, you can't disagree that 32 is a significantly smaller number of launch weapons than the aforementioned 80+ (that I think BF4 landed with).

Many of these niggles are going somewhat over my head as I'm just looking for a more casual and relaxed experience. As a result, they just don't matter  as much to me, personally. I will say that this perhaps makes me 'too forgiving', and I can at least see why others are more put off by some of this stuff.

P.s. I moved your above post here Albert as it is more relevant to the general game discussion, pros and cons etc, than the simple yay or nay poll.
