Seems the circle of fire at the end is likely a teaser of the Battle Royale mode. Not surprising, of course, it was inevitable we'd see this sort of mode in the game.

Although I'm not sure the tense and tactical nature of Battle Royale goes with Battlefield's cinematic action-packed style, it'll be interesting to see how they approach it.

Well, we won't be checking it out at the LAN anymore, unless they leave the beta going for an absolute age.

This is absolutely due to the struggling preorders, and the already cramped release window (Red Dead, CoD). I'm sure the game will still sell well overall, but it looks like all of the bad press surrounding the Battlefront and previous Battlefield titles has finally caught up to EA, at least with regards to preordering.

I think this is one of the main issue's unfortunately. Dice's pushed agenda and then attitude towards people who can't swallow it is terrible.

Enjoyed what i've played so far. I'ts very similar to BF1 and i didn't really take to that

EDIT: just checked and i still played over 100 hours in BF1 lol

Disappointing, this is always my biggest grumble with the Battlefield games. Still, I didn't play BF1 so I'll still be giving this a go, maybe it'll float my boat, maybe not!

I did read an interview with one of the devs who said one of the biggest challenges is keeping the games fresh. On the one hand, the games have to still feel like battlefield, or the players who enjoy that experience will be turned away. On the other, if the game doesn't do anything new it gets labelled as a reskin.

Of course, it doesn't help when you're releasing a title every 12 months. You also add having to spend another Â£40 every year into the mix, which no doubt exacerbates the problem.

Like I said, having not played BF1, and having not played a battlefield at all for years, I'm keen to have a go.
