Wondering if anyone is planning on getting this and if they might be up for some multiplayer on the day/evening or near to?

ive been testing since the 1st alpha build, not really dabbled in the multi player side, but could be fun.

The standard edition is included with XBox gamepass. Maybe worth seeing how it plays before commiting.

I'm not sure if it took longer than Star Citizen to get to this point or not? But for sure, 35 spaceships (planes) and 45 hangars (airports) in Star Citizen doesn't cost â,¬119

Tuna

Did you buy it on Steam or Microsoft?  Are there any differences you are aware of?

the only difference getting it on steam as far as im awware is that you cant play it on consoles, not an issue for me

Is this meaning for the pre-launch price you can play it on PC and XBox or.... you can play with other players who are on XBox if for example you buy the PC version?

That is pretty important if ever anyone gets a console and wants to sync their game to that platform for free. That might not mean you are entitled to the game for the console for free, also I cannot see why there would be cross-platform with XBox Store and not steam, as the game will likely use MS servers to sync up.

I'm certainly becoming more interested, damn you all!!! :D

Most important part is about modding. With so many great plane models out there, will buying the base game from MS force you also to buy new planes from MS as well? We already know any plane can be installed into the Steam folder for FSX easily enough. Be a shame if MS prevents modding. On the other hand if you have the Steam version but still need an XBox account to go online with other players then it's hardly a problem because MS knows you own the game.

Want but not buying.  My gfx card is the minimum spec at the moment

Will acquire when the upgrade happens :)

Pre Order Complete.  The preview build showcases look stunning.

As for modding, MS have said there will be an in game store and they are apparently going to be focusing on quality.  While FSX and P3D had amazing mods, it could be a role of the dice on how permanent a model or ad-don might be, so hopefully this will be a step in the right direction.

As for Launch day.  Anyone got some ideas for a firs multiplayer wing up?  Bush flying in Papua New Guinea?

The majority of 3rd party addons will be available within the 'store' in game, they have put a lot of work in making sure they include and recognise that the whole reason the flight sim community is still so large is because of these 3rd party developers so to me that makes things very exciting. They have officially 'partnered' with a lot of recognisable developers.

I wont be buying anything other than the standard edition to start with, mainly because the aircraft available in the standard edition are all that id be happy with for the moment, enough for me to scratch that itch, oh and you can upgrade at a later date too should you wish.

The big thing for me is that VATSIM are on board, I plan on getting back into that eventually.  I'm all up for anything MP too Tuna, I really can't wait for this to drop, I've been waiting for so so long!!
