New map?

Hi all,

So I'm still really wanting to play Conan and I do have a mega project in the works but every time I jump on I ask myself is it worth to spend the time on the project  (which will take probably a couple of weeks to finish) if we are going to switch to the new map when it comes out.

Not that I am against that idea cause any new content to Conan is much anticipated. I just don't like wanting to start the project on the current map if we are potentially going to switch to the new map in less than a week.

So my question is, if the map is released in 6 days are we going to be switching over asap or leaving it on the old map for a little while?

I feel we have quite a bit of content to do on the current map so I personally do not see us jumping to a new map in the near future.

Is the new map dropping next week or is it just an announcement?

i think the new map will just be added to this one....

I personally think it'll just be an announcement at this current stage with view to it dropping by the year end.

I also think it'll be a complete new map, away from these current exile lands and the limitations of what's placed on it already (the map is full, they've already said that they cannot put any more assets into it) the blank area to the east of the volcano is hidden for a reason - it's blank because thats where all the dungeon assets are and where you are instances to - so they can't drop another portion of map there.

Edit: The other thing of note - is that it'll be paid DLC - and I think most of us got Conan either through humble bundle or when it was about £7 iirc, and for a new map on the server to be spun up it would require a fair majority to be owning the DLC too.  And as Oldie says there's still a fair bit of content left in this game - still need to do Volcano run again, midnight garden, and sunken temple etc

Even though they have said the map can't be added to for technical, it has been by modders...  

We do know there are 11  new( hidden) achievements. one being to visit the black tower and another to enter the maelstrom.   but i guess we will find out Thursday

A lot of what's been rumoured us of the DLC called "Isle of siptah" which in itself is a small island in the south west ocean off coast of Stygia. (Attached is a map of where the exile lands are (ringed in black))
