Hi all,

I’m after some recommendations for a gaming laptop that would be capable of playing the game new world on my budget would be 2-2.5k also don’t mind going down the used route as long as it comes with a warranty

i got one of these in June, it actually got a better score than my 9900k 2080ti rig in the heaven benchmark, i suspect it was due to the amd processor. i also dropped an extra 1tb drive in as there is space for it. Played ark and atlas at 60 fps on high and quite happily sits as at about 45 in town in new world, although you can get more than if you dont vsync to about 80 ish out of towns. ill post some screen grabs ina min

A few years ago I got a gigabyte aero 15 wa (2060 gpu) and stuck an extra 1Tb SSD in it. Seems to be running most things pretty well at 1080p still (caveat: I don't play new world...) It's nice and thin and looks decent, but it does have a (useless imo) numpad and an off-centre touchpad, which I dislike when not using external kb & mouse. Plus it does get quite hot and noisy at full chat. A friend bought a razer (my other short-listed option) with a 2070 at the same time and I am rather jealous of it  !

thanks all, I'll continue to monitor this post and update you with what I will be thinking of going with, won't be for another week or two.
