Was wondering if any1 could help me as ive had this problem a while...

When ever im playing cs on a server i get well lag spikes on my keyboard and sometimes mouse  <_<  its nothing to do with my ping and neither of them are wireless.

When i mean lag i mean for example when i go straff from left to right it sometimes seems to carry going on in one direction for longer than it should it seems to get worse when gun fire is happening around me.

So i was wondering if any1 has had simular thing like this happen to them or if there is and settings i can change etc. And would it help to dl the latest driver for my graphics card?

I used to get lots of mouse lag like that. It was due to a setting on my graphics card. IIRC turning off VSync cured it (found in display properties page)

HTH?

This kind of thing happens to me when I've inadvertantly left Teamspeak running.

Used to happen to me if IE was running too.

I think what we are all trying to say in a roundabout way is that it is Sadako's fault

most of the time i'm lagging is when the server is full

I never had lag untill the other pc was using lost of internet.
But the last few weeks i'm lagging when the server is full a bit strange but k.

Check in Control Panel for the keyboard applet. Run it and see what repeat interval and repeat rate you have set.

My settings are like this:

Check that there are no repeat rate settings enabled in the BIOS as well - it can interfere with OS applied rates.

...another thought. Are your KB and Mouse USB or PS2? If PS2 then this question is irrelevant. If they are USB then go into device manager, find the USB Root Hub entries and untick the box that allows the PC to "power save" the USB Hub. Do this for each root hub (4 in my case below):

Aye both as you have shown well my pc needs another reformat as there are still a few bugs plus my water cooling system is playing up its got mrthylated spirits in it at the mo as it has a lower freezing point and higher boiling point seems to be better  ;)    Cheers for your help tho bb guess im just going to have to live with it for now. Got other probs that cs like my pc yesterday kept overheating going over 56oC and the motheboard 45? pah

Sounds like its time for a spring clean on the system?

DarkAngel
