Hi xxxxxx.

Welcome to dMw's Charlie Company.

This information is sent out to all new recruits. Please read it carefully and make sure you  carry out the actions required of you asap.

Dead Men Walking is a community that plays games for fun as well as competitively.

You are a member of Shadow Squad (this may change if you update your general availability). If you do not want to be considered for matches then that's fine.

The squads are made up of a mixture of skills and as such they should be of equal ability. Check the training section of the dMw forum for details of squad makeup. We mainly play in the Enemy Down CZ ladder.

When we enter cup/league competitions then the team (Delta Squad) is selected on skill.

If you would like to be considered for matchplay then there are things you need to do.

1. Go to http://www.enemydown.co.uk and register (make sure you enter your SteamID). Let me know when you've done this (and what name you've registered with) and I'll add you to the dMw clan pages. Read the rules of the site carefully as it will give you an insight into the way we have to play our matches in this ladder. You will be considered for selection when you have a green tick against your entry. Please do not make yourself available until such time.

2. Go to http://87.240.138.20/avail/index.asp and log in using these details:

UserName: xxxxxxx
Password: xxxxxxx

This site is used to track member's general availability (select 'dMw Availability' from the left-hand menu and then click on your name) and match-specific availability (click on 'Available', 'Maybe' or 'Not Available') and also to store your contact details.
Check this site regularly for last minute additions. Please make sure to keep your availability details current, even for games that are not for your squad. Please accept that you may find you're not picked for a game even if you're the best shooter in the clan.

Playing Matches:

Team Selection:

Priority will be given to those players who have made themselves available AND who are either in IRC or playing on a dMw server at 15 minutes to start-time.

At 15 mins to start-time the Squad Team Leader will select his team based on the above criteria. An admin will use remote rcon to either call the selected team to IRC or ask them to join the server designated for the match.

Hopefully this will leave the rest of dMw still playing without too much disruption to the server.

So to recap. If you're selected for the match and on the servers - stay there unless you're called to IRC or told to join the server.

Conduct and attitude:

As a member of Charlie Company you are expected to maintain the highest level of conduct and display a mature attitude. Please read and digest this important topic. For the next two months you will be judged by the dMw admins in this area. Should we feel that you are failing in any area then you will be advised and an improvement will be expected. Failure to meet our high standards could result in you being demoted back to Bravo Company.

Enjoy being a member of dMw and always remember: it's a game and it's meant to be fun.

Hi xxxxxx.

Welcome to dMw's Charlie Company.

This information is sent out to all new recruits. Please read it carefully and make sure you carry out the actions required of you asap.

Dead Men Walking is a community that plays games for fun as well as competitively.

You are now a member of Charlie Company which means you are a full member of dMw and are eligible to represent us in matches if you so wish. If you do not want to be considered for matches then that's fine.

Check the training section of the dMw forum for details of squad makeup. We mainly play in the Enemy Down CZ ladder although as other games, such BF2, become more comfortable to us we will hopefully be able to offer competitive games in a BF2 league as well.

Squad members have a mixture of skills and as such we attempt to "give all who wish to play a game" for normal weekly matches. Should we enter cup/league competitions then the team is selected on skill rather than the criteria of "has this person played recently".

CS Matchplay

If you would like to be considered for CS matchplay then there are things you need to do.

1. Go to http://www.enemydown.co.uk and register (make sure you enter your SteamID). Let OB know when you've done this (and what name you've registered with) and he'll add you to the dMw clan pages. BF2 Matchplay

BF2 matches are currently organised on an "as and when" basis and as the matches are non-competitive we allow Bravo/Alpha member to have a turn. SHould things become more competitive and formal then BF2 matches will follow the route of CS and it will be Charlie members only. More info as things change.

A small change so that ED reg is completed for both CS and BF2. When we do eventually play BF2 matches it will more than likely be via ED so they may as well register now,
