Joining the 'organised' (and I use that word in the loosest possible sense of the word) meals is not compulsory!  

The Hotel have been warned to expect circa 40 of us to be wanting to take advantage of their 'Steak Night' special.

The Chinese restaurant has been booked for the Saturday night from 7.30pm.  This leaves enough time to feed, drink and then party on in the LAN room until morning.

And I know we have some vegetarians, it's not a problem. Just PM me so I know and I'll make sure you are well catered for on both nights.

rite do ppl who r staying in the hotel get this and not others who r staying in other accomodation? or do all ppl ateending the event get this? we have to pay don't we?

All people who wants to eat steak will be allowed irrespectively of which hotel the stay at. :)

They can eat anything they want and anyone is welcome.  The Griffin does a 'Steak Special' on a Friday night and as the LAN is there and some 28 or so of the peeps are staying there then it is a sensible place to meet.  The restaurant is not an 'a la carte', more of a grill.  Food is decent and there is a bar next to it in the hotel in which most of us meet during the afternoon/evening on the Friday.  Best plan is to arrive at the Griffin with your kit and set up, then check into your hotel (unless you do an Eggsy and turn up real late, in which case check in first or you'll lose your room!).  Gaming usually starts after the Friday night meal and carries on til late.

as DA and myself were sitting at the same table, he will not be suprised by the fact that i will not be partaking of the friday evening griffin grill (but i will drink their beer) :cheers:

We should be able to start setting up from midday on Friday.
Zok, there should be enough peeps there to keep you comnpany in the bar throughout the dining period.
