Hi guys,

Doesn't latest steam update change rate's settings ?

I got a lot of problems with loss and chokes  :(

I belive it did set the settings back to default 56k .....

tell me about it, I wondered why I was lagging last night. The damn thing was set back to 28.8!

Looks like a quick check of your connection settings before joining needs to become part of your routine now.

Ah so how u set the connection is how fast ur steam runs! :whistle: I thought it did it automatically :)

Creat a file in notepad copy the text into it and save it as rate.cfg.
Then open your userconfig.cfg file and add the line exec rate.cfg and save it.

To check your connection settings right click on the steam icon in your system tray and choose settings and click on the internet tab.

According to OB some settings are:
rate 150000
cl_updaterate 81
cl_cmdrate 81
Survivor of LAN V, VI, VIII, IX, X, XII, XIV, XVI, XVIII, XX, XXIV, XXX, XXXII, XXXIV and XXXVI so far...

What if you don't have a userconfig.cfg file??

Just create one in notepad. it has effectively replaced the old autoexec.cfg from CS1.5
