I think Bravo's biggest problem on this map was lack of communication(I was as guilty as anyone). However we played slightly better as T's as our diversion tactics had some success.Enjoyable even though we got trashed by well organised Charlie squad. :)

yep i happened to accidently    go on the charlie server for pre match tactics and boy were they organised. Bravos were having a good ol' game on Infurno  :D .

Good match, communication was sometimes a problem, but then so was dying before you even had chance to press a button

Charlies were really well organised, and it showed.  Again, I learnt a few more things.

It was a pity we didn't have any spectators adding hints & tips like the last practice match on Aztec - I felt that helped people improve their gameplay during the match.

I write down everything I want to remember. That way, instead of spending a lot of time trying to remember what it is I wrote down, I spend the time looking for the paper I wrote it down on.

Yes.....I think we had just enough players avalable to field 2 matchs

Btw Zok did u get to play or spec ?
It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed, the hands acquire shakes, the shakes become a warning. It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion

Zok

Got drunk and played painkiller, had family round for dinner so didn’t actually sit down in front of the monitor till 8:55 so I wasn’t surprised I couldn’t get on. Should be up for the next praccie though. :D

I think we did OK.

But the big problem was voice comms... Always let your teamates know where you are.

We had a couple of good rounds as T by attacking the outside site from all directions.

2 people towards the inside site but down the ladder.

2 people through the middle.

1 long 6.

All charging at the same time.

Sorry to my team for some crap calls and for the constant "Talk to each other" gripes :D

Whitey

We didn't talk enough and when we did we should have been more concise.  If we see the bomb man, we need to call it fast and not die before we get the chance...(I was as guilty as anyone   )

The communication on the last practice match (aztec) was much better and I think that had a lot to do with the coaching we were getting...

Still a very enjoyable match and a good learning experience....
(and my new buy scripts work better for matches  :D )

Bring on the next one

I think my comms are back in audible mode, so when's the next one? Can we have it during the week, as I barely get near a PC on weekends anymore

Last time i played it wasn't communication tht is the issue it is lag of knowledge! We need to have a charlie bravo training night where we are split into 2 teams and we just preactice tactics no actual shooting but practice thts wht we need! Plus if you don't have a headset get one I suggest one that lets you know where the sounds are coming from ie hearing shooting from right they are on the right and hearing shotting on left they are left of you! Also find a buyscript for cs which saves you valuble seconds! So when can Charlie show us skills as Bravo members do have the opportunity to become Charlie members so we do some training :)

My headset is a sennheiser pc 150 it was £59.95 but its brilliant and its vital to have a good headset to win at cs! Ain't that right duvel,Sadako, dark,Hawk! (some of our clan's best players)

DuVeL

Headset is necessary yeah but some people just use Dolby surround and a mic.

With my headset I can hear a enemy moving really early and it saved me alot. I can also pinpoint where an enemy is shot (other tip: Look at the bloodstains to see where he is shot from). At the match 2 fellas were killed by one man because they couldn't get a fix on his location (GS JAS en good spot aswell near location 1 as CT). On publicservers almost everyone uses clogs so listen up, aim at the wall and get called a cheater ...

Yeah,I use 5.1 surround sound, but as my room is only 93cm wide they are really effective at pinpointing people.I just got to sort my aim out, lol. <_<

Daughter uses Zalman surround sound phones and reports that they are very good(she pegs me enough times. :( )

suicidal_monkey

Headphones give much better positional info than surround speakers I find (...and thats not just because I can't afford a good 5.1 setup right now!) but make sure you get good ones that have a decent response. Having the type that sit around your ears too is good as they cut out a lot of external noise, immersing you in the audio further. I bought a £20 headset from maplins, and apart from the fact that after 3 or 4 years heavy use the pads are unsticking they are excellent 'phones! mic could perhaps be better, but is perfectly useable. In fact I think it's just my voice that's fuzzy

Grimnar

well i have 2 headsets working now.

1 is my old one who is just fixed some weeks ago.
and my second one is from sadako who was so kind to send me one so you all could hear me singing ;)

They both work one better then the other but k.

When i play with my 5.1 set then i don't hear a thing (that is near me)
So when i play 1.6 i use my headset and when i play 1.5 i sometimes use my 5.1 set.
