Two points.

First, this may well be under discussion in other forum areas I don't have access to. Second I'm not directly involved in all this and so may not be seeing the full picture but....

It occurs to me that we might need to lay down some ground rules about posting in other peoples forums and dealing with match or tournament issues. I've been browsing the CoFR forums and reading the posts related to the recent no shows. It's clear TL and Sadako are working hard to resolve the issues amiciably. However one or two other 'newer' dMw characters seem to be dangerously close to yanking the whole affair off the rails. I can see it getting out of hand if we're not careful.

Would it not be an idea to create a set of rules as to dealing with match conflicts, problems and issues that arise from our interaction with other clans.

I believe there is an unwritten rule that clan members basically keep their mouths shut and leave it to the Squad Leaders or Admins to deal with cheat accusations, complaints and disagreements.

I don't want to be harsh but I have no faith in either Ice Hawk or Duval being able to represent the dMw in these matters. It's clear they know many of the CoFR regulars but I don't think they should be chipping in on the CoFR forums, especially if they use the -=[dMw]=- tag in their names.

Just a thought but I would be happier if we had some ground rules. On another day in another situation we could get into a lot of grief with to many loose cannons appearing to speak on our behalf.

Reading this post i have to agree with smilo on this

i really dont think others apart from TL & OB should be posting on dMw's behalf

and while i was looking round the cofr forum i came across this
link

iam really not happy with peeps wearing the dmw tag and going on to other forums/servers and causing trouble

thoughts?

Dr Sadako

The NUMPTYs are very abusive on the CoFR server. Mostly over VC as it doesn't show in the logs and especially when there are no COFR Admins around. I bet they found it funny when they managed to wind GhostMjr up (and Duvel at times).
When we were on for the match Ren and Mr Evil were the ones being obnoxious and rude. It wasn't surprising that they were the one jumping on us in the forums as well. These are the guys you should look out for.

If you record a demo do you get the VC in the recording? I would gladly send a demo when they are at it to the CoFR admins.

It is possible to get voice on demo as i have done it but cant remember how the hell i did it

As for *any* concerns of players on servers .....if you feel it should be reported post to the the admins

I'm sure I'm not at all upto speed on the details of the match in question. My point is that to the casual observer 'me' this sounds like a rant from Ghost-mjr, Ice Hawk and to a lesser extent Duval. I'm sure that their motives are genuine, it's just that I'm unhappy about them venting off on the CoFR forums about a dMw match. I'd be much happier if we had a rule that said ALL gripes moans and the like went to an Admin. If the Admin felt there were comments that should be aired publically then they can take the appriopriate action.

Right now people with -=[dmw]=- tags are 'appearing' to be speaking for the clan and I'm not really happy about that.

I think Sadako may have posted in another thread covering the actions to take if on the COFR server. However, I would like to see the "guidance" extended to cover all servers. People forget that the actions of one reflect on the many. I am more proud of our 10/10 nice guy rating than on any matches we win. If you lose a match you can win the next one; if we screw up and annoy another clan it'll take a lot longer to get 10/10 again.

I have said in another forum that ONLY the Clan leaders should deal with these sort of issues and I stick by that. NONE of the rest of us should be getting involved unless invited by OB and TL to contribute.

Thoughts?

Me neither. Expect a formal guideline shortly.
