I've picked up on a few people voiceing concerns about the CS servers in the forums being empty and the CZ server being full. Are we all just playing around wit a new game (CZ) for a week or two or is this a more perminent move over to CZ?

Not from me. I am absolutely not buying CZ. I am absolutely appalled that Valve think they can get money out of people for a game they already own and simply tart it up a bit and then ignore the original. I will buy CS2 (or whatever it gets called) but I'm hoping that wil have proper physics so you cannot get shot through rocks or your gun muzzle doesn't poke through walls.

If we move to CZ before that then I'll leave it's that simple.

scratch that...we all moved over to Meathook  :)

We're playing with a new toy (well you have to when you paid for it  :) ).

Absolutely no plans to move to CZ. Not even been discussed.

My paranoia got the better of me. Although I have to admit CZ does look nice, but then so does CSRU.

As I understand it CS2 will be the multiplayer part of HL2. If you buy HL2 you will get CS2 as well.

Now the interesting poiint for us all to ponder is what does the dMw community do when HL2 and CS 2 (CS:S) hit the world? This issue may be well in hand with the dMw admins, or maybe not  ;) but....

The move from CS 1.5 with WON over to CS 1.6 with Steam was an easy move for the Clan as the transfer cost nothing to the members. Moving on to CS2 will require the purchase of HL2. Now everyone assumes HL2 will be a classic game and well worth buying. However what would the repercussiosn be of us moving over to CS2? We'd be effectively saying that if you want to stay in the dMw clan/community you'll have to go and shell out thirty something quid for HL2?

Running CS 1.6 and CS2 servers would seem a bit daft as what owner of CS2 would ever want to go back and play on a CS 1.6 server?

I'm confused already

What person that loves CS will NOT go out and buy CS2?

I would imagine that we would run both  (as we are CZ) and when 1.6 dies move over to CS2. This may take a month or a week who knows lets see when it finally gets released :D

I would be happy to pay for any game that the comunity moves to in the future...Its not the game that brings me back its playing with guys that are atracted to team style play

At the end of the day most clans/comunitys have a subsciption type thing going on with monthy payments .....dMw is running for free thanks to crosswired :worship: so the odd game bought is no real hardship :D

Ahhh. The future. Who knows?

The options are many. My guess is that we will play both CS and CZ for some time yet and, although we're currently a CS based community, we could eventually find ourselves playing and hosting a raft of different online games. We just need to make sure that we continue to grow the community to ensure it's future.
