Well we had great hopes for this one as when the originally arranged match kicked off we breezed to a comfortable and enjoyable 3-0 lead until their server started kicking us all out every 30 seconds.  The rematch was nothing like as enjoyable from a scoring point of view.

We lost the knife fight and went T first.  We managed to get to 3-1 down but then lost the rest of the MR12 and finished 11-1 down - and uphill strguggle was to follow.

As CT we did well in the first couple of rounds, but then they double door rushed at the same time as our inate ability to count up to 3 failed  :(   This meant that the ramp site was taken by the Ts, the bomb planted and detonated.  After that we failed to count properly on a regular basis with 2 going bridge, 4 going ramp and vice versa  :(  As is usual under the auspices of Murphy's Law you can guarantee that you will be rushed in the area where you have miscounted to your disadvantage.  We eventually lost our CT round 9-3.  Match lost 20-4.

A very disappointing match where I think we lost our discipline (and counting ability) real early.  We should have done better.  We may have gone in to this one expecting the win too much, but our own mistakes were really our downfall.

In future matches we MUST learn to split in the numbers and to the sites agreed at the start.  We regularly ended up with too many people in the wrong places and not enough in the right places.  Apart from that I think they REALLY changed their squad round for this match, because they weren't the same clod-hoppers that we started the match against last week.

This is Hugh Jlee Saw, reporting for the BBC, from Baldric.

They did change their line up. I saw at least 2 new names. I want to question one of the events from last night.

The drop in the water followed by the shot with AWP on armitage (when he was the last guy) could be a one in a million shot, but I do not believe it. He dropped down without knowing (?) he was there and got off the first shot. I have seen elite players in action, but that was pure BS. :toilet:

Regarding eco or not to eco, I think we lost the first round (as T) to eco actually. We got the bomb planted, but some of them had armour and grenades and that seemed to do the difference.

I have been thinking about this a bit and I think that we should try to go half eco i.e. only half of the team go eco. This would mean that on average we would be better equipped each round and the possibility to pick up a gun from a dead team mate.

First round as CT yesterday they did a succesful bridge rush on us. I think that we should consider that not all of us buy defuse kits. If say one of the bridge guys yesterday have had a DesertEagle (or even a Flash) we could have stopped the rush more effectively. A flash on our side of the bridge can be very effective on a bridge rush. Then it is just to go out and shoot the blind bstards. ;) If they have kevlar it takes many shots to kill them with the usp. We do not have kevlar because we buy kits i.e. we die 'more easily' than the enemy. We should consider a different buy strategy or at least develope one.

Example (6 players, Aztec)

Bridge
CT 1: kit + he + flash
CT 2: DE

Bridge middle:
CT 3: kevlar + ammo

Ramp
CT 4: DE
CT 5: kit + HE + ammo
CT 6: kit + HE + ammo

Final comment:
Could we make it so that we have a MR12 style of game between ghosts and zombies before each match? I mean with the line up we are going to use in the match. Say if zombies have a match today and ghost have a match tomorrow, the selected line ups for each match could meet before both matches. We could play a shorter match, say seven rounds then switch sides. (I hope this makes any sense   )
I know this would mean that the teams are selected some time before the match.

All available peeps to IRC at 7pm then.

We need ten players including at least 5 Zombies.

If we get the numbers then we'll practice. Simple.  8)
