Installed TocA race Driver 2?

If you've installed either TocA 2 or the TocA 2 demo you might want to check your device drivers as you could well be the owner of a nice new one, courtesy of a company called Starforce (not the game). Put there without your knowledge and uninstallable even if you delete the game, it's designed to prevent you cracking TocA 2. (Didn't work sadly as there are plenty of cracked versions out there  )

Not sure what else it might do, but if like me you enjoy having even a semblance of control over your PC, you might want to look at these two threads

The world will be a better place when PC games developers realise that hackers will crack any copy protection they want to use and stop trying, so us honest game-buying folks don't have to put up with dang copy protection systems.

I tried the demo and it wasterrible graphics were blurry and extremely laggy! The sound was terrible and i can't believe they even released it! Trying to use certain cars on the demo restarted my computer! Since then i have made an oath never to pay toca again unless it is toca 2 the original!

Here is the skinny.... I just emailed Star-Force and they have attached a removal tool to the reply. email them If you want the removal tool.

Thats quite amusing! They obviously know they are upsetting people by secretly installing this software.
