Match Count/Team selection

This is indirectly an availability issue I guess, but is it possible for us leaders to get a match count on each player?

Also do we have some policy regarding who to pick if one squad is short? Best team, least played matches?

Just wondering as I think Whitey should have been picked in tonights match before Ice Hawk or TL that have "enough" match experience allready and Whitey lacks it. I think we need to consider training the new blood when we have the chance of throwing the extra match in their direction.

I tend to look at who's available and, if I need non-Phantoms, I pick the guy who hasn't played recently.

This does rely on knowing who's played in the last few matches. So when, like yesterday, we have a friendly - please enter the players names with 0-0 scores.

I made the call as I counted last night's match as a farce not a match.  On that basis it was Ice and me who were due a match.  OB did ask, I made the call, sorry if peeps felt it was wrong.

Don't get me wrong chaps. I was just wondering how we should act in general. It is not that I don't like Ice or you TL to get a match (and we won that match) but as it was a friendly there would have been no harm in letting e.g. whitey play.

Why I brought this up I guesss, is that we have no intention to go to div2 in ED, right? We have had the chance but as I recall it we never wanted to take it. There were even jokes about it "don't touch that button". So if we are not interested in advancing to div2 there is no worry if we lose a match now and then i.e. we can pick a team so people get match experience.

I guess the shortage of people will stop after the summer, but still it would be nice to know how to pick non-squad members. I admit I have doubts and usually ask for second opinions when I am in that situation.

And I guess that brings me back to the "matches played" on the availpage. Is it possible or just unnessesary?

It is only helpful if it records matches played in the short term and per Squad.

As for Division 2, I think maybe we would accept a promotion if it were right for the clan - the last time this happened was sort of by fluke and we were really a mid-table team who had 4 or 5 lucky results to end up there.  We were back down again real quick.  

Our current position is more reflective I think of our ability.  We seem to be holding it together not too badly.  If we continue to make improvements then maybe a promotion is not out of the question.
