I will sort UT2004 ....as i don't own BF:V

OldBloke

Obviously, I'll make sure the server's ready and patched.

Should be able to bring a second box to act as a file server for patches etc.

I never owned UT2004    and don't have either it or disks anymore.

I donated BFV to someone via the forums but I can't remember who it is.

As for CS I would suggest we stick to CS 1.6 as everyone has it. Those of us who have it  could have a dabble with CZ or CS:S, but sticking to the version we can all play i.e. CS 1.6 (assuming CS:S hasn't been released by the LAN date) would make life very simple.

OB, I will have a spare PC there too, remember we need something to run the LAN forums/website and need to have HLTV running as well.  Let me know if you want it run from my machine.

I have checked my discs and we will need to get all new files
I own all the above games but they are not patched and I do not have the no CD cracks.
I cannot find the original install files, I'll be darned if I know where they went, I thought I had them all :(

Anyone fancy going to search for the appropriate files/key gens/no-cd cracks?

Fair comment about CS1.6, but does anyone going to the LAN not have CZ?  Maybe we should ask......?

Might be a bit early to start doing this.

BFv 1.1 Updated and cracked and key-gen as long as they dont pull out an update we should be ok  :D

I though Sadako had UT2004 all hacked and cracked too?

I intend to use one box for the game servers and one box for forums (don't need a website - forums will handle all we need to do). The forum topic for each game will contain links to the files needed to get the games installed and patched  :)

As we intend to display the HLTV then maybe we should use a laptop for this.

It was distributed at the last LAN, both the CD and DVD version. There should be plenty of people having it.

If, and for the love of God this is a big IF, my ISP would kindly deliver my phat internet connection next week as promised  <_<  we could have a distribution of the "original files" if we had a DC hub. What do you think?

We can still have that but atm I have only 1 Mbit upload and it would mean that only one or two could DL at a decent speed.

For what it's worth I've working copy of Doom 3 that I'll be bringing to the LAN. I've not tried multiplayer and don't plan on doing so as it's a brown paper bag copy   .

Please post here stating the name of the game you will volunteer to sort out!

CS (not CZ or CS:S or anything else)
UT2004 - Smite sorting out the files
BFV
LFS - JAS sorting out the files

Oldbloke is sorting out the servers for all of these except UT2k4 which can run from a client and also LFS which can run from a client.
We have  4 days left, can we please make sure we have all the necessary files and post here to confirm they are up and working?

OB, can you have a set of files ready for me to run a second HLDS from my server?  If we all play CS we will need 2.........

Thanks.

I also have a copy of UT2004 both on disk and as an image on my pc. it's patched to version 3323. Obviously it would be better to all use the same source for games but as a back-up to Smite's files I have them.

I have no clue as to BFV as I no longer have the files from the last LAN :-(

Might it not be an idea to post a final duffers guide to making sure CS 1.6 will work at the LAN (me knows from bitter experience  ;)  )
