Natural Selection Server

Test NS server is up an running. I will only have it running when we arrange a game as I can't play CS whist the lan server has people on it. If you want it on at other times ICQ me (see my forum profile for number). I will try and have it up and running each evening this week just as it is the first week so check on HLSW if it's alive.

I advise reading the instructions before hand especially the ways to use resources. It's complex but should be easy to pick up.

Oh yeah, it has to be either Monday, Tuesday or Friday, cos we have matches on Wednesday and Thursday evenings this week.

i Suggest an evening of NS, me and albert were there for at least 2 hours last night and still came away without hardly a clue what to do. Well i did anyway. :roll:

I've also downloaded it but I think it needs more than a 'whirl'! I tried a game or three online and it is WIERD. Maybe as a marine, ok, but as an alien I couldn't get to grips with it at all. Too much input Stephanie! 8O

I would really hate to see that all get hooked on NS and stop playing CS. Then we would end up in the same position as N42 have.

Hi All,
How about a game this Thursday? Everyone can have a look at the tips section BlueBall suggested and we an at least have a clue before hitting the server and (probably lagging out :lol: ) playing.

No way will it even get near CS for me personally but it's nice to keep up to date with these new mods, variety is after all the spice of life, e.g. mix your drinks, change your woman regularly, and change your underwear at least once a month :lol: !

This was why at the start of the week I suggested that only Monday, Tuesday or Friday would be good. As it is a little too late to organise a 'formal' NS recon for tonight, I would suggest that Friday is the most appropriate target day. Whatever we do NS-wise, it shouldn't interupt or affect the clan's CS matches, so we need to avoid tomorrow and Thursday.

Having said that, I will this evening be playing my normal CS on MH, then installing NS, and then playing a bit on the server if anyone is there......

NS doesn't mean a reduction in my CS time, it's just a reduction in quality time for the missus.

Have I seen it? Yes if you refer to the death of CS on N42 and No if you mean the game NS.
