I think it is safe for me to summarise by acknowledging positively the latter and negatively to the former, thus easing any tensions that may have existed between the correspondents.  :D

Sorry I can't read  :oops:  I can't play on Friday as I am working over night, the whole weekend and Monday morning on a network migration  :cry: .

I can boot up the server, provide someone with admin access and leave you all to get on with it on Friday  :?:

I'd be interested, or we can book a time next week?  I don't mind admin'ing if nobody else does it - just as long as someone teaches me the rules, these guides are way too long for me  :lol:

I've been looking for a decent admin guide but the official site has been down so couldn't find one. I know enough about HL servers and CS abut nothing specific to NS.

http://www.ns-central.co.uk/ seems like a good but though.

yeah 5 a side is ok, but if marines dont play with a permanent commander ( ie the marines just pop in and out of the chair whenever they need something) it gets a bit unfair. the aliens cant change roles so quickly so they appear to be a man down at times.

but enough of my whining lets get it on! :D

I think the arrangements for a NS game tonight have fallen apart a bit.
As I'm away working for the next 3 days but will be around all next week, lets postpone it, please.

I can play any evening from Wednesday onwards next week and will be at home to look after the server.

Well folks the server is there it works and just needs players.
I will boot it up for one night to try it out. I'm around every day except Friday next week (Lord of the Rings the Two Towers  :D ) so suggest a night please  8) .

That means it will have to be Tuesday evening only then.  We have matches on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, you are unavailable Friday, so Tuesday is it!

The server will have a maximum of 16 players as a total of 15 people have shown an interest via the poll a few weeks ago. I don't know how the network will hold up to this but it's only a trial.

Come along and be confused. Or better still, read a guide first. I will be kicking anyone moaning about the game being too complicated because you haven't taken the time to RTFM  :lol:.
