Printer gawn tits up! Need new printer that does nothing more strenuous than printing quotation, business cards, invoices, webpages. You know the kinda stuff I mean. I must be able to add it to my network though. My router(Netgear FR114P) is also a print server with a parallel port. Mustn't cost an arm and a leg. Any ideas, printery gurus?

P.S. I want my likkle doorman back.  :(

If you have a printer server port you don't need to get a printer with a network card. :) No idea what a good printer is though, I live in a paper free environment.  8)

Beware - some printers need to be physically connected to a PC to work.

another thing to look out for is that a lot of printers are usb only.

but ron. you have a server running nearly 24/7 for LFS, you could use this for your print server.

Yes, that's why I asked. I recall you saying something about a while ago.

Yeah I found out that Epson do the only one left with a parallel port.

's OK Arm, just being lazy and dim. Found it. Yes a good suggestion. I'll do that and get a usb jobbie.
