Can anyone who is on steam at the moment try to connect please?
All servers remain up and running.  
Below list taken from my HLSW:

Just tried to get onto Baldric and I got the same error message about the server being unable to contact the authentication server.

Just tried Razer still getting authentication server error

Yep, problem reported back to G and we will have to wait for him to run through the firewall logs with the Tech Dir.  Keep the faith peeps.

ok, I'm going to be running through this with him tonight. We have a plan, but can't put it into action yet as he's just off out to pick his kiddie up from nursery.

I'll report back here later with some results.

ok, we are all sorted. ( I hope! ) please connect up and test.

The issue was the server outbound to the internet. We have nailed it down to these ports. tcp   27000-27040

That is all thats open outbound and its working fine.

Final list for reference.

I played a bit last night. The server was smooth.  8)
