I see strange pings on the DM server *all* the time - it's because HL2 is laggy as hell.

Other than that I have not noticed anything untoward.

The Deathmatch server runs better than the CS: Source server  :(

When we change this server back to "homer" can we make it a CZ server instead?

Ahh decisions, decisions.

Thanks to VALVe we now have three versions of our beloved game. Do we support all three? Concentrate on one? Maybe two? Another game entirely? Will we find matches for CZ as readily as for CS1.6? Will VALVe support non-source CS/CZ? Will the CS community move over to Source and will we be forced to follow?

As far as CS is concerned I think we need a period of assessment where we try to gauge the direction we need to be heading based on the wishes of our own community and the realities of the wider community. An update to CS:S is due this month. Let's hope it's a major improvement.

In addition, I think the time is right for us to be on the lookout for another team-based game that lends it's self to our ethos. No matter how you wrap it up, CS is still an old game that most of us have played to death. I still really enjoy it but that's mainly due to the people I play it with.

Total agreement for the former, latter and the bit in the middle.

I just can't bring myself to play CS 1.6 atm.... CZ is better but still samey and Source needs new maps and these damn bugs fixing.
