dMw's Xmas BoDyblow Tournament

Seeing as how we took over BoD's server for a wee while whilst ours was moved into a nice new Redbus, Docklands rack, we thought we'd offer BoD the chance for some revenge  So here's the idea:

• We organise a tournament over the xmas/new year period.
• It's a fun tournament where peeps _will_ have fun, period.  Serious and boring peeps need not apply
• We will choose some suitably themed maps for the tournament
• We have teams of 6 - many more per team and the maps become more death match and less fun
• We select a Squad Leader for each team and the SL gets to choose a name and tag for their 'mini-clan'
• We split the teams into Divisions and have a round robin (or similar) within the division
• Winning teams (usually top 1 or 2) then go through to the semis and a final is played from the winners
• HLTV is used to record the finals etc
• Results are posted up in a dedicated section on our forums
• #deadmen on quakenet is used as a meeting place for all the players and each team opens up its own room for team members to discuss taccies etc
• dMw provide the gaming servers (although depending on how many simultaneous matches we need to run we may need to involve BoD's servers too)
• The prize for winning is the sheer gloating value you attain for the next 6 months until the 2005 mid-year tournament
• We can split the teams either by dMw/BoD or mix the teams or whatever combination.

How about it?  I reckon it would be fun, so if you're interested then post your name here and I will edit in a list of those interested.

The date proposed is 27th December 2004.
The proposed time for the first match is 1.30pm and the last finals should finish by 6.30pm.

Remember that these times are subject to change as the number of tournament players evolves.  The date and time have still to be agreed with BoD and they have still to get anyone volunteering for the tournie other than Wallace!
