Do you like the tried and tested (and past it) CS 1.6 or the new kid on the block CS:Source or maybe you'd rather be playing the game that most people knocked when it was released but has matured nicely (CZ).

TeaLeaf

Well, I thnk that's pretty concluCZiv.

Source would've got my vote ...but it needs a few more updates yet to get it up to CZ at the mo !!!

CSS is a port of CS1.6 while CZ seems to have a fair few extras (like the hossies that wonder and talk oten giving ur position away).

I can't see CSS taking those elements, but then arn't we all waiting for cs2?? :P

ive been playing alot of cs/cz recently and tried a game of css yesterday. It does feel really wierd. Can't put my finger on it though.

Thulsa Doom

Why would any1 want to go back to 1.6?
Its dated and looks crap compared to CZ (dont have CSS yet, waiting for Whitey to give me a copy  :D )

Dr Sadako

I must say CZ got it all. CS seems very dated in comparison to CZ. CSS seems just a bit too much. Weather with rain and wind accompanied with their sounds are of course cool but imho CSS is much closer to Raven Shield and other "realistic" games. CS (in my eyes at least) were not out to be that realistic and I think it has gone a bit too far in the case of CSS. Looks are not everything. Gameplay and flow is something CSS need to improve immensly until it reaches the heights of CS/CZ.

Have to say source already gets my vote, but with a few tweaks for OBs 'fat granades' and various other stuff it will be great. :D

I've only played CSS as a beta and it looked allright but CZ for me now.

1.6 for me, purely based on how poorly my connection handles CZ.

Grimnar

I voted CZ.

Because i like it much more then 1.6..

For me cz has a better gameplay..

(i havn't played css and also will not play it for a while more. so i can't say anything about it)

Red_Thunder

Im not to bothered really. At the moe i still like 1.6 as CZ is v easy much like source, i like CZ for what it is, a kind of mid point between the 2 versions but CZ is fulla nubies.
But i know once Source is more established and CPL is moved to Source. CS and CZ will fall down a big hole, maybe as big as bennys ;) As there will be less will have moed to sourceage as Steam/ Valve will force it   :dummy:

Looking forward to DoD Source myself. I hear mid Febuary 2005.
