Servers are invisible

If you do a search for dMw through e.g. gametiger our servers aren't found. I this something we can fix? No wonder it is hard for public players to find our public servers.

Also is it possible to enable the fast download of maps?

I'll look into the problem.

Like the map downloads issue though, I suspect it's because we're behind a hardware firewall that's blocking the required ports. Discovering what ports actually need to be opened though is not proving to be easy.

I poped an email to gtiger requesting what ports are required ect ....

I've added your server by hand via http://www.cstiger.de/addserver
so it's visible now eg here:

But it will be dropped from the database if offline for a while.

Since Gametiger is following the master lists you should try to send a
heartbeat to the master servers. This way it will be included
automatically.

Probably your machine is behind a firewall or router. In this case
you must FORWARD the port your server runs on from your router to the
server. Also these ports needs to be open in the given direction:
TCP 7002 out
TCP 5273 out
UDP 27010 out
UDP 27012 in and out
UDP 27016 in (if your server runs on this port)

ok, I spent yesterday with hi-v going over various things (including lots of beer drinking) and I now have a list of what ports are open to blackadder.

Please let me know whatever ports are missing for the various functions and I'll get them added.

I've attached the spreadsheet. You'll have to modify the extension as the forum is being anal and not letting me upload an xls file  :angry:

I had to make it a jpg file! Even removing the extension pissed the forum off  :angry:  :angry:
