Found an interesting thread Here for modding the PC350s to improve bass, apparently they have the same speakers as the 595s,

That is interesting. I have compensated the lower bass just with teh equilizer, but this could be an option too. However, I am not entirely sure where he exactly drilled. :g:

Curiosity got the better of me and I have just taken mine apart.  In the 3rd pic you can see the 3 holes at the top of the pic.

Seems fairly stright forward, may give it a go at the weekend.

Because, we want to show what a waste of money it was, not buying the Plantronics, and settling for the "best a man can get" which will fall apart in ten minutes......numpty, numpty, numpty......try the damn Plantronics.....once you've had Black, you don't want to go back!!:woot2::woot2:

Yes you're right,  Sennheiser have a terrible reputation for performance and build quality,  dude , give it a break .

If you actually read the discussion and linked thread it would be better. I have a pair of Plantronics. They are good, but not great. I used them as a temp solution when my Speedlink Medusa 5.1 broke until a bought something new. So the last month I have used the Plantronics which makes the comparison even easiear. The Sennheiser PC350 is, without exaggeration, 10 times better than my Plantronics. The directional perspective is very good. The microphone has active noise cancellation which the plantronics doesn't have. It has the best microphone I have ever had in a headset actually and I have tried out at least 12 different headset/heaphones+mic combinations (which you can read about in this thread).

Sennheiser has a very good reputation in the audio business when it comes to headphones. Not surprisingly as the company started at the end of WWII. I understand that Sennheiser like other businesses (just look at the unlocking of graphics card) streamline their production to reduce costs. In this case Sennheiser have put in a better cap than listed and put a piece of plastic for it to appear to be a different cap. By simply drilling a hole it becomes even better. I am happy that you are content with your Plantronics, but I wasn't.
