This is a message for all Charlie members.

We now have two public servers running. The reason for running public servers is to use them to spread the TCS gospel to the uninitiated. This will only work if all members remember to play on our public servers as they would on our password protected servers. Hopefully, the way we play will inspire others to become converted to teamplay and hence grow the community. The problem, as we're all aware, is that public servers are full of undesirable elements and will require maximum monitoring if we are to make our public servers an oasis of teamplay.

To help achieve this aim we are going to grant our Charlie members limited powers of admin on our public servers. However, there is a risk in doing this. As much as we want  to see the back of cheats, spoilers and general low-life CS players we do not want to see power-crazed admins bringing our good name into disrepute. So we want you to think about the following *very* carefully.

We require people to exercise admin powers on the public servers. Your role as an admin is to ensure that the dMw public server is providing a lame-free environment of fairplay and teamwork. The following guidelines should be strictly adhered to:

1. Read and understand the dMw Admin Standards. This is aimed at our non-public server admins but the fundementals still apply.

2. Do not abuse your powers of admin (inappropriate use of admin powers could result in you losing your Charlie status).

3. Defer to the community's full admins.

4. A formal warning must be the considered judgement before kick or ban.

5. Kick players that:

a. Have offensive player names.
b. Are AFK.
c. Continue to swear after being asked not to.
d. Are simply 'dicking about' instead of participating in the game.

6. Ban players for 5mins that:

a. Intentially and repeatedly TW/TK their team.
b. Rejoin after a kick and continue to misbehave.
c. Are *obviously* cheating (speed hack).

7. Report any players that require a permanent ban to a full admin with any accompanying evidence.

8. Remember that we cannot enforce teamplay on our public servers. Solo frag hunters should be badgered into submission (if possible) not kicked or banned.

9. Lead by example. Use your voice comms and server messages to get your point across.

If you agree to abide by the above and wish to be given limited admin powers on the community's public servers then you need to PM both TeaLeaf and OldBloke. Consider this decision carefully. You cannot 'play' at being an admin. dMw will be judged by others on your application of your powers. Remember this at all times.
