CS:S Update

VALVe have just released an update to Source which, as well as containing the updated inferno, contains a new map - de_port - and some hitbox fixes.

I will start up our CS:S server later today running just the two maps mentioned.

The fix to this release should be along shortly  :devil:

Makes sense.

Although I cant see the fix about hitboxes in the changelogs :/

Workaround #1

Bring up the console, type "sv_lan 0" and then "map " and the server will start.

Server up. Now running the following mapcycle:

de_inferno
de_port
de_dust_pcg

Server is running as public for now.

I don't think anyone is going to be enamoured od Inferno. Looks as though they've taken a brush 5 times too big to the scenery.  :angry:  de_port looks good though.   :)

ANyone going to give it a bash tonight, see if it "feels" any better?

it says "missing maps/de_dust_pcg.bsp when i try to connect and download the map.

Get it here <- Right click and "save as" or it probably won't work :D

I clicked the link and it gave a server error (probabyl some anti hotlinking script) but a refresh started the download.

I cannot believe how different inferno looks. Wow! Don't know if it plays any better but it looks wow! For a while I couldn't recognise the map as one I had played before!

Port looks quite open but there are tunnels so opportunity for sneakiness abounds but it could easily turn into an AWP fest if not played "our" way

Dust looks excellent too. Again, I didn't recognise the map initially and then you realise they have moved the spawns and turned everything through 90 degrees and then changed the way it looks and...

... I'll see you all on the CS:S server tonite where we shall all agree how lovely it looks before retiring to MH for some CZ :)
