Yes. PB is running on our server.

but when i put the ip in it rejects to the page where all servers are..
and sometimes  i get a different server but with the same ip i dont get it???


aha when i wanna join just a server and click it ...it returns to servers page...i dont connect....

I believe you have to be logged in as an administrator. From the readme.txt file:

PUNKBUSTER
- If you are playing Battlefield 2 with a limited user account within
  Windows XP, PunkBuster may disconnect you from the server. We
  recommend you use an Administrator account when playing on an internet
  server with PunkBuster enabled.

Stupid question maybe, but are you running PunkBuster seperately? You don't need to as it is part of BF2, well I don't run it and I can join OK.

On the screen where you join a server (you know, the one that always locks up) you must have a cross in the PunkBuster box.

Having problem with PB. It is updated but it still says I have or the server has the wrong version. Get kicked off after 30 seconds.  <_<

I got kicked once tonight, but after that it was ok. anybody have a list of what the update should have fixed. as it has made the server selection by name, not work at all.

Sorted it by deleting all the files in the following folders.

C:\Games\Battlefield 2\pb\dll\

C:\Games\Battlefield 2\pb\htm\


Then running this file (needs to be saved in the C:\Games\Battlefield 2\pb\ dir before running it):

... and finally adding "pb_security 0" into console to allow PB to be downgraded.

Yes I had that. It seems to take an age to 'Update Server List'. I typed in 'dead me...etc' and hit 'enter' that seems to do the trick.

On another point, since the update my comms have been non-existant! No mic icon when I press to talk, I don't hear anyone. Yes the mic test works fine, yes it is enabled and yes it's pissing me off! Of all the games I've played, this one is dead in the water without comms!

Off to have another poke around to see if I can sus it.
