Cheers for the warm welcome guys :).... ok checking checking a re-checking the forum, and re-reading the rules ;)..

it would seem I am missing Arma 3 and Battlefield.... but will hold off a short while on this just so that I can concentrate on a single game ;).... I am also eagerly awaiting a new headset in the post :( due to not being able to find/not looking for an old one, I know where there is one but getting it would be pretty difficult as its back in England :( its in Notts and the one that I have ordered is in South Yorks so the one ordered is closer :D.... so if you could just put up with me using the crappy mic built in that would be great until it comes :)

In regards the Lan.... I wish my time/budget would allow but alas this one is not to be :(.... I hope to see you all on the server this evening :) and hopefully not in everyone's scope ;)

To be fair so long as you a.) dont get caught and B.) dont go stupid to cause situatoin A then there should be no issuse's

although if its for something like software4students.co.uk read the lisencing agreement with the said software ;)

personally I have started using my Uni Staff ID because at the end of the day stuff is expensive and we get paid less than the private sector :(..

Seriously though ... / Mic Problem
August 17, 2011, 12:14:24 PM
Hi DA,

had the same issue when I bought my playtronix backbeats... the answer lay with the bluetooth driver I was using as it was the factory shipped (HP and and Sony ones on the laptops that where the problem)... you will need the WIDCOMM bluetooth drivers although search for the details of where i got them from is now lost in memory.... these WIDCOMM drivers enable the A2DP stereo sound as well as the mic to be used at the same time I just have to tap the phone button when i want to make a softphone call (bt) or skype call and whilst enjoying my chanting monk music I click the other button on the headset or in the windows control panel for bt devices....

hope this helps

Technology Section / Removing Toshiba Bloatware carp
August 09, 2011, 10:44:12 AM
As said before most is removable

try uninstalling the Items one by one with a reboot and check everything is ok before removing the next (its a PITA but safer) make sure you have used the backup recovery disk maker

always try and make the media first as I know from past experience (Sony) charge around £60 to send out a set of recovery disks.

once you have got rid of the unwanted software then go find a imagining pice of software (i use farstone recovery) and make a full system backup so that you can always use this as your backup and not the Tosh one (saves time in the future)

once the recovery disks are made then you can blow away the recovery partition, as this can be put back on with the recovery disks if required on future (if selling for example)

ouch sorry to hear that matey, had things nicked from cars in the past when lived in big towns....

Now I live out in the stick's of Scotland have never locked the car and left wallet, phone etc on passenger seat...

worst thing that has happened in last two years was neighbour woke me up one night to tell me my windows where down and it looks like rain :s went out to find phone, wallet and ipod sat on passenger seat :D

if they catch em make sure you can get a few mins of "alone time" with em ;)

not had much of an issue but then I have oddly shaped ears ;) the connection issue not really a problem so long as both devices are fully charged (when thay start to drain obviousy they kinda drop out) I am able to leave laptop in office wilst walking 20Metres out for a fag with only slight drop out. when listening to music I drop the open mic settings and use just the media mode....

Hey SM,

I use http://store.apple.com/us/product/TY204LL/A for my HD2 pretty good and has both phone and music controls, as well as being able to be connected to the laptop and phone at the same time
