Since the inclusion of former Ovo members into our Guild there seems to be a group not of a standard to raid deep into ICC but would like to raid none-the-less.

 

The inclusion of some of these members on the Thursday night raid for the fist few bosses is useful to gear them up, but it will be a long time before they get enough Emblems of Frost  for full sets of tier 10. In addition some cannot raid as early as 20:15 (GT) due to parental commitments.

 

Would it be possible for the guild organise a second raid group for those not picked to raid ICC to raid lower Northrend Raids on Sunday and Tuesday nights, including the awarding of dkp?  Not only would this give us all some kind of group/team building activity but it would also give us valuable raiding experience.

 

Perhaps this group can start to raid an hour later at 21:15 (GT)?  Even if we cannot raid for a full 3 hours, less is more!

 

It would be helpful & good for moral if an experienced member or officer would join the group each night to help with tactics and general advice.

 

The above has come from a few suggestions made by dMr members over the past few weeks. I am hoping that this post will start a discussion on what non-elite raiders would like in the way of raiding.

Due to all who offered amazingly being in the raid this evening this event is now cancelled, postponed, put off, whatever you want to call it.

Following something mentioned earlier on guild chat I would like to propose a later raiding start time for those of us who have childcare obligations (which covers quite a few of our members) or even a second raid group would be a start.  I myself cannot raid on the one night I would be allowed to raid on my raiding char due to childcare issues.

Come on council, give the parents a break!!

The weekly raid is in Naxx & it is somewhere I have wanted to tank for a very long time (old grudges on behalf of Améthyst!).

Do any of you fancy coming along this Sunday, while the progression raiding is going on, at 20.15 (game time) for a full clear?

FD & I discussed this mid raid break last night & yes both Rob & I would like to go.

I really enjoyed raiding with you all again.  I have a bit of catching up to do on gear & kitty dps but I am determined to get there & maybe even get to tank eventually!

i feel i must apologise, for my part in keeping Rob alive until the end of some fights.  I understand this was not in the true spirit of DMR and first raid experience.  I will endevour not to let this oversight happen again

I disagree Jas, I have often given those very same reasons to Rob when he points out exactly the same thing to me as Ez has in this post.

Very few of the raiders take time to acknowledge the non raiding members in the guild to the degree of out right blanking them & it has to stop, especially if we are to continue to call ourselves a social raiding guild.

There is no prerequisite to join this guild that states you must raid, so come on guys, be social.
