I had exactly the same fault.  The game played 100% in single player so I rules out the PC.  I was getting online freezing and was unable to fire.

My pings were ok........turns out is was my daughter DOWNLOADING lots.

My problem was throughput or lack of it.  If your using a wireless router is someone nabbing ya bandwidth.

The thing ive noticed with the mig and how he was flying it was .....how slowly, it can be flown

you can fly it much slower than the f35. I was on the stinger and he turned round on a sixpence, and toasted me.

Me a Lib had a night of aerial combat, me flying the F35 and I just couldnt out turn him in close combat...


Sulky why dont you try the same battle with this guy, but him flying the f35

What do you guys suggest?The mouse and keyboard flying works for me just a little bit and that's only in the big transportheli. The attackchopper and so I keep chrashing and flying planes I find myself really fast outside the mapboundries.Suggestions please or what you use.]

I use the joystick for both basically because the Joystick has rudder build in (twist), and a throttle that can be set to whatever setting you want instantly without having to jab at the keyboard. if your buying a joystick it must have rudder.

As I'm somewhat of a model helicopter/jet  geek and have spent £1000's on crash repairs over the years.  What I can say is that jets/ planes are the easy things to master.  Just set the throttle and fly elevator/ ailerons, theres no need for rudders only for aerobatics and lining up for a bomb run.  Heli's are a completely kettle of fish, its taken me 5 years to master flying them.  To turn a helicopter effectively you need to use rudder to bring the nose round or youll end up just banking and hitting a tree!   Get a good joystick wth rudder and plenty of buttons and youll not look back

I think its too twitchy on the throttle too.  Just keep you finger on the bailout button  :blink:

Me and Pen had a great time in the cobra tonight.  With the F15 (think it was  sulky) keeping their Mig on the ground we had a field day.

[to the losing side on cleensweep tonight my 89 with a f15 is an awsome scoreand a apology to lib,snooks,pen,himagain, and all the others who i tk'ed -38 (so i would have got 128 if i didnt do it)its the boxes and x not appearing till you press the button issue otherwise brilliant game]

Too right it is...Its like balancing a broom stick on your finger, you can balance it for a while but once it leans over too much, theres nothing in the world thats going to get it back...

As for shooting it down I managed it easily last night.... Just fire off a few rounds in its general direction..... the pilot banks it over and flys into a tree/building easy.    I think I scared sulky into that last night

I've played Wake to death on the ranked servers, its my fav map (something to do with helicopters!).  Wake is all about air assets,  once the US hold the airfield, the game wraps up pretty quickly. When i play commander I go straight for the airfield, and then pick off the heavy armour from the air, its usually over very quickly.  

With the AAS mod things are not that simple, as we spoke weeks ago when you instaled the AAS mod, wake is a bitch of a map to apply AAS too.  I've found that Wake on meathook seems to be over really quickly having the airfield as 3rd base, the defenders are pushed out north and dont last very long.

 What about making the route, hop between the north, south, north, south then the airfield last. Or even north, north , south, south then airfield. Agreed the two tanks will be taken way from the defenders early on but they will still have the air assets and the airfield tank.  It would also be a bitch for the US to to hop across the water.  It might not work in practice but the US would have to be very clever to get across the open water. while still defending their capture points.


It might be good for a laugh. What do others think.
