New awards & badges

[Ranger]

Thought I would start putting up some awards/badges/ribbons that better reflected the type of play from BIG & DMW...Please feel free to suggest some - via private message - and I'll do the artwork.

Kamakaze Award


 

• 1 or more instances of taking out enemy by sacificing own life (whether by intent or by accident!)

Unlucky Spawn Award (2nd Class)


 

• 2 or more instances of spawning within a group of enemy soldiers - OR
• 2 or more instances of spawning in the middle of a firefight, between the two teams

[/list]The 'No Surrender' - Turn-Around Award


 

• Refusing to accept that the game is lost and bringing the match back from the last flag to a glorious win!

· 2 or more instances of pressing the wrong key in a firefight and you find yourself holding a mine instead of your rifle - then you get shot

OR

· 2 or more instances of reversing over your team-mate who is trying to repair your vehicle

OR

· 2 or more instances of crashing a fully loaded Blackhawk on TAKE-OFF

Just cooking up some more - with two 'requests'.

I think I will eventually make up a web page to put them on - and link to it from this thread. Save people trawling down the posts...

OR...

Maybe the very nice dMw web Captain would like to pop them up somewhere central...

I'm sure other BF2ers would find this amusing, and if we put the link on some other BF2 forums you might get some more recruits.

Distinguished Order of Partisipation without Expectation (DOPE)



* 1 round of 'like just being there man'

PLUS

* 1 or more instances of 'you know - like - just not getting too heavy, dude'

OR

* 1 or more instance of 'just standing there and taking the time to look at the clouds and the flowers, man'

I don't think we should leave out those lovely gentlemen who like to think every vehicle in the game is thier personal transportation...

So for these lovely fellows I have made the following ribbon:

The Wankers Award for Transportation Selfishness (TWATS)

(Also known as the 'Brass Knob'*)



* 1 round of unadulterated, self-serving twatishness of the highest order

PLUS

* Multiple instances of leaving team-mates on the helipad or at the side of the road when it is obvious they need transportation

OR

* 1 or more instances of taking off in an attack helicopter with no gunner

OR

* 1 or more instances of waiting at a base for ages until the vehicle they want spawns instead of supporting thier team-mates at the front

OR

* 1 or more instances of taking thier vehicle to some quiet corner of the map to spawn-camp so they rack up thier score, when thier vehicle is needed elsewhere to support thier team-mate

* 1 or more instance of surviving a direct bombardment by running round like a headless chicken while everyone and everything else is getting plastered -OR
* 1 or more instance of surviving a direct helicopter attack on thier tank without so much as a scratch and then taking the chopper down with one shot - OR
* 1 or more instance of reversing thier vehicle during a flag capture only to randomly run over someone who just C4ing them without actually meaning to!

(Or similar very annoying escapes!)
