it appears there's been another patch while we were asleep...not much in the changelist there though! For 280Mb I expect at least 1 new map or something!!!

Anyone got a better http or ftp link, or a bittorrent link?

Well I couldn't get on TG last night,"You are running a different version to server". So I assume the patch needs applying to the base BF2 install. <_<

Nope. We're on patch 1.03. Everyone just calls it 1.3 to confuse you. :narnar:

The BF2 Special Forces expansion is essentially BF2 v1.1

# Removed the Grappling Hook and the Zip Line from kits from "The Iron Gator" map.

This relates more to the SF-pack - or will we get the hooks and stuff in the regular BF2? anyways... downloading and looking forward to testing it

do we need this patch to play "normal" BF2? or only if we intend to get BF2SF - because I don't really want the S files clogging up my hdd until I choose to purchase the expansion ... or not as the case may be

You don't "need" the patch (at least until our server is patched) which I guess will be this weekend or once we have confirmed it won't screw up AAS

I've just read that whereas patch 1.03 was ludicrous enough in requiring 1.5GB disk space on the SYSTEM partition (regardless of where BF2 was actually installed), the new patch needs 3GB(!) free space.

Be warned! Installation may not be all that easy. :angry:

have just tried to connect to dmw.... "you have a newer version than the server"

so it dont work with the server :sad: good thing im on nights for the next week
