Goldeneye Source

For anyone out there with nothing better to do (like me) the 1st alpha of the Goldeneye mod for HL2 was released today, I got no idea whats its like as I've not tried it out yet, but you can download it from http://www.goldeneyesource.com/ if you like the sound of it.

Great stuff !!  Used to love Goldeneye with Vincentvega and Jas,  if its only 50% as fun as the original we're gonna be in for a reet treat.

Ooohhh just remember'd the lack of crosshairs in the original, hope they keep that true to form.  Anyone got a black felt pen ?  :whistle:

Yea, no x-hairs in there jb, not that you'll need the black pen, your already marked up.

How do i install this?

Install Help:
If you never installed a mod before READ THIS

You need to install this mod to the "sourcemods" directory in your steam appsfolder

The default directory C:\valve\steam\steamapps\sourcemods\goldeneye\
If this is not your steam directory change it when the installer prompts you to.

Played a couple of rounds on the Ge_caves map, looks nice and plays smooth.

Bit too spawn campy for my liking and not enough weapons to go around or weapon choice so far.

u got to remember its there first Alpha release... so theres gonna be bugs and problems.....

Measure the height of your monitor and divide by 2.
Measure the width of yoru monitor and divide by two.
Use the coordinates to mark the middle of your monitor with a drawing pin.
Now get your pen and remove the drawing pin from the LCD panel and mark the hole with a permanent black marker.
Et voila, it is now installed.

Downloading this mod now, looking forward to the game , the original golden eye was a great game, loads of fun with friends

went on a server with BT ....was absolutely crazy ....16 man server is manic !!

could see this being fun with small numbers ....
