The program in my case would have to be Total Commander. The program has a short-cut for just about everything and can do just about anything. For me it took over from Norton Commander from the DOS days. To me it is one of the most used programs and still in use every day, it is one of the first things that get installed after a fresh win install.

What is yours? Any REALLY good utilities that you use everyday? And you have used for a long time?

Disc defrag & defrag that works at boot stage(can't remember the name but it was free)

I defrag like an obsessive compulsive...I like to see everything neatly stacked in one chunk

I defrag before and after installing anything, and auto defrag every night...the boot defrag, which I only use occasionally, does the windows files that won't move in normal d/f (cos they're windows files in use)

I started d/f'ing like this when my old pc was slow even with 1.5 gig RAM...I got it all neat and it works a treat :P

I guess Nero 6, paid $20 to upgrade from OEM 5.5 bundled with a cheapy cd writer.  CloneCD is useful for playing CD games with a BACKUP of the original.

Actually, I'll chuck in a vote for WSUS as well. I can deploy updates for the 3 machines here without any bother. Better than SUS.

I run a really usefull program on any PC's.  It helps in the search for a cure to many fatal and dibilitating conditions.  There's even a forum on this site dedicated to it.
Check out Dead Men Folding for more information and click Here for some of the results....   :D

Give it a try, you know you want to  ;)
