Traditionalists will tell you that it doesn't exist. yes a colour of green was used by many but, as wikipedia says, the BR green can range from Dark green to almost Black! Hence although the term is used to describe a form of green and it may well have a BS number the colour BRG is any of many different shades hence formally isn't a single colour

Doesn't 'British Racing Green' really refer to the old days where the cars of different countries were colour coded? Hondas racers were traditionally white because Japan 'was white' - this also explains why all the Type-R's of today (type TANGO... heehee...) are white. As far as I have read somewhere, Twig is right that there was one 'true' racing green.

Type R's come in a variety of colours red black silver, very few in white actually.

managed 11:06 in the mini (and similar time in the ford mustang, though I went over a corner on one of the last straights and lost the time) in "professional" mode. Still nowhere near smooth round that track - so many corners to try and remember!

You can have different shades of the colour, BUT the colour does still exist. It can be ordered, mixed and paid for as such. So it is still a colour :P
In the same ways as one can have shades of red, yellow or blue (which is a colour) so one can have shades of british racing green.

Yeah learning that track takes several laps. And with a laptime like that it takes some time. But when you do learn it, you appreciate that most of the track is high speed corners, and not too much Monaco...

The issue I have is remembering which corners are not full-speed corners but are merely very fast, and which corners are the 90 degree plus corners  Cutting the wrong corner (read: flying over a verge you had no chance of braking for) and seeing the message "cut track - time will not count" is frustrating after 6 minutes of driving!

What is a good time in a TC-65 car then?

My advise is to go slower than usual the first few times of driving the track. Just to be sure. And then increase the pace in the corners you are sure of... but I know, that is difficult :)

Depends on the car. All TC-65 cars can be driven under 11 minutes, yet I am not sure they all can go below 10. Maybe some.

I'm sorry Ron, but I have to answer this...

I know that you can have your Type-R in different colours as well, but the white is Hondas racing heritage colour or something and is per definition the true Type-R colour, because the Type-R's are meant to honour that tradition. Just believe me, I'm a Honda nut and I know what I'm talking about ;) :P

As for the Nurb, I'm having a little difficulty getting used to the 83 mother compared to the GT4 version of the track. I use all sorts of landmarks to remember the curves, but in GTL it's very different. I can't get under 11 min in GTL, although this was under the influence of three beers... does that have anything to say?!?  :D

If that was in a TC65 car in professional mode + three beers, you're a man to watch out for. However good GT4 is, it's pitched more towards 'arcade'

S-M, Delan is right. Build up to it. Tip:(only just figured it for myself) turn up the volume of 'Tyre scrub' and 'Skid' sounds. They make you a lot more aware of how close you are to losing it. Something your bum would tell you IRL.

I get the definate feeling that I will sink further and further down the rankings as more of you young bloods take up the cudgel.  :(
