Wow, after reading this lot and looking at those wheels my Saitek R440 seems rather inadequate.  I guess I'll have to invest in some more kit later this year.

Just get yourself on the server mate.  :D

You might like to arm yourself with these add-on tracks:
A1Ring
Brands Hatch + trackcut  fix
Brno
Kyalami
Misano
Oschersleben
Sachsenring
SilverstoneGP
Thruxton
Virginia
zandvoort

Get them from //www.no-grip.net

Which leads me to ask this question: What is/would be the effect of running my Viewsonic 19" TFT @ 70hz. refresh rate? I know the default for these thing is 60hz but....I'm running it at 70hz at the moment as a test and I can only detect a slightly smoother TrackIR sweep. Other than that, no difference.

Who? Me?

That G25 looks brilliant,  :dribble:  gear selector-clutch n all, but leather bound???? Do we really need that kinda stuff? It just hikes up the price needlessly in my view, and the price will be a very sore point for me. Not far off £200 quid this side of the pond I expect. Couldn't they have made an addon for the DFP or somethin' afterall I'll bet the wheel's innards are identical in every way.
Incidentally, I already use the clutch via the left rear paddle on my DFP (dunno if anyone else does), it seems to give me a slight advantage

GizMoTo

i agree Malcolm price is gona make it well outa my price range the DFP was above my limit but i bribed the wife to get it

OH and snap on the clutch  8)  is same as i do { did you adjust the release rate of it to give a little slip for the smooth take off } ooooooops letting secrets out there <_<

I have my clutch on a very fast bite, afterall, I'm only gonna start from standstill the once. (Well, thats what I like to think anyhow  :D  ). I do a bit of a wheelspin to get moving, then drop the revs and floor it soon as I've got my grip back. The fast bite lets me change gear pretty quickly once I'm on the move.. ooooops letting out secrets there  <_<

JamesB

Just got a DFP.  Need to get it set up though

delanvital

I will get my DFP in about two months time.
