Just a quick question about ventrillo.

I bought a microphone this weekend and i was wondering how are using it with for example netKar Pro.

Last night I used my headphones, to not get any background when I speak. That worked ok, but when I was racing the sound of the engine was too loud to hear any talk, is there a setting so the game noise will be muted when someone speaks (or something like that)? :g:

Turn down the engine sound level to a 'compromise level'. I can imagine it would be disconcerting for your engine/tyre sounds to be suddenly muted when you hit the talk button! I'm not a great believer in high engine sounds anyway. IRL you'd be wearing a flameproof balaclava, helmet and earplugs. Tyre sounds though are a different matter.

Yeah on second thought that wouldn't really be handy :lmfao:

I mounted my mic in a better place today and fiddled around with some settings, I think I have a pretty good setup/settings now the only thing I can't get the engine noise in nKP to tone down.

Every volume slider works except the engine one, anyone else has this problem ?

Where is the Master volume? Mine is at halfway, as is 'net' (no I don't know what it means.) Engine, a little above halfway, Skids and external on full and wind a few notches below full.
Any help to you?

So, as I mentioned in another thread, I'm now back in Trondheim. The reason I'm not back on track again is that I'm waiting for my new wheel + pedals to arrive. :D GT3RS + clubsports on their way, shipping out from Germany this week.

But I haven't been idle.. yeah, you guessed it: I've modded my Rinoseat to accomodate the new wheel and pedals! :norty: The seat was originally made for the G25. Pretty pleased with how it turned out so far, but we'll see when I get the hardware.

So until then: I'm twiddling my thumbs, waiting for it to clear customs +++.

I've seen SRT's review of the series one and they were very impressed. The second release ought to have sorted out most, if not all, of their concerns. Those pedals look the business. :D Let me know if that wheel will come off. For me that the big turn off. Porsche badge while I'm driving a [name your car]

Yes, fingers crossed that they sorted out the bugs for the second batch. And yeah, the pedals is what I'm most excited about. They made some changes for the second batch which I think could turn out very good. We'll see!

The badge won't bother me in the least. I normally don't look at the wheel while driving anyway. ;)

Damn! That's where I've been going wrong.

Yeah, there was an extensive discussion about the G27 about a week ago on the LFS forum, with a Logitech representative explaining a few things. The general opinion seems to be that it indeed doesn't offer much improvements over the G25. The lack of a sequential shifter is a huge let down IMO.
