Me too :) if i have the funding
Was tempted to buy and extra low end card besides my HD4870 for softTH, but i think I'm gonna wait a little while and see how this new tech works out :g:

NVIDIA is probably also working on something similar...

Its possible that i've had too much time on my hands over the last two days.
There's still abit to do but i'll hopefully be taking it for a test drive tomorow afternoon.:D

Tut, you don't need an ashtray with the roof down.:sideways:

Fantastic! But this striving for realism will come to no good, you mark my words! :D

Looking great! Is that a Hyper Stimulator or DIY look-like Hyper Stimulator?

Its a blatant Hyper rip off im afraid Lovretta, a 'Slider Hyper' if you like:D
The proper Hyper's look really good when they are painted up properly but they cost a fair bit too (and they are in Australia). I couldnt really warrant the cash to buy one so i thought i'd have a go myself, based on thier look. The nose doesnt fold up and away either but then i wont need it to. It does unbolt easily for the rare occasion it will move. You dont get a nice soft seat in a Hyper allthough they are supposed to be quite comfy.

Its not so much 'striving for realism' Doors, more of a need to overcome a few problems. Im fed up with my chair rolling away from my G25 and the pedals moving:ranting2: so thats one thing solved. Also when i move house, i wont have a 'pooter desk. The 3 screens will mount on here and they will rotate 90 degrees so i can sit at the side on a normal chair.
Its over the top i know but hopefully it will look cool in my new front room when i get there.
Plus, i like to try things for myself and this is the first time ive ever touched mdf.

I already had the bucket seat and some screws so its only cost me Ã,£21 so far:D. I think i'll test it for a week and then get it painted. (and some dMr stickers)

Looking good, Steve :thumb:

Can't see a suitable drinks holder tho :flirty:

Amazing work! :) With triple screens that will be an incredible rig.

Slider 46

Cheers Guys.
As for the drinks holder, i have a plan. If i cover it with Playboy sponser stickers (LCR Honda, moto gp style) they might send me a bunny girl waitress. Hoorah.:woot2:

I'd like to hear how's the life been with the new cockpit? Is it easy to get in and out of it? How is the ergonomics?

I've found out that even though I've done quite a few adjustments to my cockpit, I always find the ergonomics to be if not bad still not very good either. One hour races are ok, but I cannot be completely relaxed in it either. It's surprisingly difficult to get a good position to the cockpit. Perhaps I'll make something radical next time I'll do adjustments.

Do you have a new picture of the cockpit in place and fully equipped?

EDIT: Still ergonomics in my cockpit since beginning has been better than what I had in my Skoda Octavia, but still I feel it could be a lot better.

Romus

I'd like to hear how you have like the Fanatec equipment? How is the wheel compared to the G25? I'm considering of buying the wheel only.
