A little taster. I have my race pit back today and its crackin'. Its as shiny as a shiny thing thats been shined up.:D
I was going to get all stickered up before i showed you lot but here  are a couple of snaps anyway. They really dont do it justice though as my ol' mate Vince has done a great job on it. Cheers Vince if you see this:clap2:

Do you have drawings of that Slider? I want to build a seat frame and pedal stand myself and I'm especially interested in seat angles.

What is the best seat angle, and what is the best backrest angle for allround racing?

I dont have any digital drawings Vobler im afraid. I think the angle depends on personal comfort really. Also, space might mean the pedals need to be  closer, so lower and therefore shorter overall with a steeper back angle(like a road car). My pedals are high and my legs are just about straight (F1 style) but its made it very long overall.

Your best bet, and what i did, was to sit on the floor and measure your self from seat to pedals. Then get your seat that youve already brought/made and just make a rough mock up like the pic below. It looks basic 'coz it is but it will let you try a few different positions really quickly. Its only 10 min's to unscrew, cut here or there and screw back on. Use it for a few days until you feel its about to collapse on you to make sure your happy.
Then i got some wall paper liner, rolled it out on the floor and marked the relative points that i measured from the mockup. As long as you have those, you can draw the rest any shape you like.  Cut these out when you like your full size drawing and transfer to mdf. Jobs a goodun'.:D

OR, I could knock up some basic drawings for you if you'd prefer. PM your email and i will see what i can do. I dont know how good at DIY you are but just ask and i'll help where i can.:D

The one in the picture is along the lines of what I am looking for. Will do some measurements and find a seat first. Thanks!

Tell me if im boring you with all these pics. Ive had a play with my vinyl cutter tonight.....:D

Again, its not photographing too well but you'll get the idea. For some reason the silver just doesnt look shiny in the pic's. Still some more stickers to do but its getting there. The monitor bracket needs tidying and paint. The stand needs paint and the front leg needs something nicer...and paint. And that wall needs some skirting board.

I'm also assuming im allowed to put dmr on it? Let me know if i shouldnt for some reason and i'll whip 'em off.

Very nice! Should be good WAF as well, compared to my cockpit :D.

Wow! I'm impressed, very nice work! :dribble:

Yesterday when I was supposed to be studying, I made some plans for a wall-mounted triple-monitor holder. The idea is that:

1) The arm should be pretty long so that I can pivot it from my racing rig to my desk
2) The joint where the monitors attach to the arm should also allow rotation
3) The monitors should be able to go from a 45 degree angle (for racing) to a straight configuration (for my desk)

Something like this (from above):

I've made all the plans actually.. it will be "ghetto-style", using the fork from an old bicycle for the main monitor joint. :flirty: It shouldn't even require any welding.

So, this is "plan B" if the projector thing doesn't work out.
