It's not always easy to notice, but in iRacing I often see it. It is easiest to see if you get in to a slide and when you are correcting you get a violent reaction the other way. The reason for this is not the physics, but lag in the PC. It may also be felt when going too fast over curbs or bumps where the car jumps around. Lag in FF/steering input/screen output  may make you feel insecure. In normal driving within the cars limits it is not so easy to spot.

I have spent the last few days firing off emails to Logitech support following 'pot'  failure on the brake and clutch pedals.
Yesterday they hinted that they may replace G25 if I could supply a copy of the invoice, so after thrashing around in various files I found it :yahoo:
Unfortunately it was dated 29 December 2007 so the 2 year guarantee had run out over a month ago :crying: Nevertheless I sent them a scanned copy, more in hope than expectation. Today, the miserable gits informed that as they no longer manufacture the G25 they could not supply me with a replacement :taz:
However, would I allow them to supply a G27 in its stead? :woot2::dribble::yahoo::clap::thumbsup::thumb:

Brilliant service- can only recommend

Sweet Bob!

I knew they where all right guys.  Bet you can keep your G25 for spares too?

Indeed, no mention of returning the G25 :D

That's a good deal, I reckon :)

Would they become suspicious if we all contacted them about similar issues all of a sudden? :g: :lmfao:

A bit too hectic for my liking
Could you imagine a one hour race in the MRT @ South City Chicane? :roflmao:
I understand they got the design from Slider46 :g:

Excellent!
...
Now I can only hope the price goes down to my budget and the "thing" gets resized so that it can ship for a low cost and fit in my available space :) See you in 15 years!

I find that i keep over revving some of the road cars due to them not sounding like they have revved enough yet. My fault and i do get used to it over the week but i have been thinking about an external shift light for quite a while. The lfs one is to small and not bright enough for my liking, if its there at all. You can buy some little led jobbies which they are quite cool but were about £60 if i remember correctly.

Whilst looking into making one i found this for Android phones. Its free, it took about a minite to change a few numbers in the lfs cfg file and it worked instantly on my galaxy s. It looks quite cool to. Very simple and handy if you have an andriod.:D

and here it is in action (not mine)

In digital display mode, the whole screen turns to a red background at the limit. Ive only had it working on the laptop with replays but i shall try it on the racepit tonight.

Those with Logitech controllers may be interested in the following site

I'm going to give my pots a squirt of contact cleaning fluid and if that dont work I'll try the sim shop for new ones.

I guess this answers most of tonights questions :D

The markings on the original pots are; 103870-1000 10k/70 0928
The DigiKey Part No was 450D103-6-ND

atomant

Digi item sure looks like the same part, however the shaft collar (threaded) of the g27 pot looks longer than the one in the pic posted, but shouldn't be a problem to swap out using the uploaded video below (Lameduck post) for reference.

$3.50 CND + Taxes (.51) + $8.00 shipping = $12.01 CND

Frankly if mine were acting up, I'd go with the ducks post and do the repair rather than buying first
