Server Requirements

Just a reminder that we need some notice to get our server requirements sorted well in advance of the LAN.  If you have 'special' packs that you need installed on the server then they'll need to be with Oldie well before the LAN so that we can set them up, test them in good time for use.  We have the hardware, it;s the software shiznit you need to get confirmed.

Oh yeah, one of the jobs that Sadako may wish to undertake (as he has the phatest connection) is to ensure that even those who turn up to the LAN without the necessary software are able to play.

I will have a server fully configured for CS:S with all the mods/maps etc and all that will be required to get the main server up and running is to copy the srcds directory to the main server and change the config  (if that's OK).

I was still hoping we could use the LAN server for the competitions, I can just copy the server folder from my system to the LAN server and change the config.

I've got a huge steam folder which i tried to share last time. I could give a copy to Whitey and sadako but they may have alot of the maps anyway. If any software needs downloading my 20mb fat pipe is awaiting orders :).
