Actually it was freezetime not buytime that I changed. I set it to a 1 second period as I was getting a wee bit miffed at how slow out of spawn people were and to highlight that fact to them (although I'm not actually sure that they noticed

). There'd be a group of us who'd be halfway to the oppo's spawn by the time the last few had started moving - this inevitably meant that we were the ones to die in the face of the onslaught, leaving our slower compatriates to clean up the wounded and bloodied opposition they found limping along when they eventually arrived at the engagement area. :evil:

Personally I like the idea of a having a shorter freezetime - those with buyscripts get out of spawn quickly........

....although thinking about it further, would it not encourage a bit of a 'rush' mentality? Scripts are good for matches, are preferable for normal PCS play, but not necessarily essential. There are peeps here who are no doubt happy without scripts (ie uncomfortable with installing them) and we should accomodate them too, but continue to encourage the whole side to get out of spawn 'together'.
