Why not throw it open to the members to design these?

We have some damn clever gfx jockeys out there. Let's get them to design the icons.

Here's what I think we require:

CounterStrike and CoD4 - 4 icons each for:

triallist, tagged, admin and section head

dMr & DMR - 3 icons each for:

tagged/guilded, admin/officer and section head/GM

Non-gaming Administration :

Section Head Servers
Section Head LAN
Section Head Forum

Forum Moderator
Forum Quality Contributor

Non-gaming Awards:

LAN attendee
Community Supporter

Golden Bollox (gaming+LAN/Supporter+Forum)

We can easily use any of those already suggested if we want to as the judges' decision is final and ... we're the judges.

OK that's fine.

Although rather than dump the whole lot on them let's define which ones we're happy with.

I think that Ron's happy with the racing ones and Whitey's happy with CS:S so I'll start with t'others

No sign of Arm (think he is away again) so in his absence I'll say Im happy with CoD ones.

Just need a triallist icon.

OK, As Oldie says, we need four icons - as we need to add one in for triallists for COD and CS:S.

Perhaps then add in a white one for each of those.

I'll put the others out to tender and see who bites.

Done (with no small amount of plagiarism!).

I'm thinking about having this rolled out by January 1st (which would fall in nicely with the annual subscriptions / LAN attendance model).

Realistic?

May want to add Gandy as Section Head - Stuff the rest of us mortals don't understand.

Also, I think the 'special' badge needs either the LAN attendee tag or Contributor tag and doesn't need to be both (although it'd be nice :norty:)

The Forum structure para ends a bit strangely .... ?

Did we agree that we're giving people a discount off the LAN if they subscribe? I know we thought about it. Personally I'd be tempted not to say that in the first instance and lets see how many people subscribe. If we have loads then we can offer it in due course as an incentive. (Not a biggie either way though).

Finally, I think we should moot the Â£12 figure around the place as a suggested contribution figure to give people an idea. If someone gives us a quid then they're not getting the badge. I think we also change the paypal figure to that as well.

I think we could squeeze in a 'Battle' badge awarded to a member who has represented dMw in a recognised league/ladder/cup.

Is the Community Supporter tag renewable on an CALENDAR year or a subscription year?

If a calendar year.....if someone donates for the Community Support badge in November 2008 in essence they only get the badge for one month before becoming due again? Or will it be for a year from date of payment?

PS. I envisage the LAN badge will run from April to April - so if you go to the LAN in either April or October in any one year, you will retain the badge until the following April's LAN when all LAN badges will be removed and then only re-issued to those attending the April LAN (who will keep it until the following April). It will also then be issued to additional people attending the October LAN (who will also keep it until the following April).

Does that make sense?
