Maintenance Downtime - Friday, 9th January 2009

On Friday, 9th January 2009 the servers will be taken offline for planned maintenance. This will mean that the forums, website, gallery, game servers and all other dMw-hosted services will be offline from mid-morning through until mid-afternoon.

During the maintenance window we will we be:

-removing BlackAdder2 (BA2) server from the server rack (hardware failure and it's basically too old)
-moving BA3 & the firewall to a new rack.
-installing the new BA4 server in the new rack & finalising configuration

We will minimise down time as much as possible and hope that normal service will be resumed during the afternoon. In the mean time, if you really feel the need to keep in touch, then remember the temporary forum we use during such down time is here:

So, from tomorrow afternoon our community hardware will be looking in great shape (see below).

Although the temp forum was fine for me earlier (and has been fine for the last 18 months) I now cannot access it :blink:

It's a free forum hosting site so we've no SLA I'm afraid. I've never had issues getting to it before though so hopefully it's just having a rest day before the activities tomorrow.

I have unlimited hosting space if you need to host the temp site anywhere else.
