L4D Server

Valve (that steaming pile of poo that pretends to be a software house) tonight released an update for the L4D client before they made the server patch available. Consequently, nobody could join the L4D server :ranting2:

After about 3 or 4 hours the server patch is now available and I am updating the server but it is really slow and I might have to leave it offline and updating overnight. Don't panic if it is offline tonight, it will be back

In Versus mode, the Tanks' health now reflects the damage he takes from burning.

A question;
What is the best way to get in a game again when the map is over?
Steam didn't do a thing and I lost my spot.
Do I just have to wait untill there are other people again on the server or is there a faster way to get on the server again.

It would be easier if Steam would just add the server to favourites of friends or something...

EDIT;
Is there also an option to make a vote to set the server to 4coop and back to 4vs4 or is this only available for admins?

It seems to be an L4D feature that all players are kicked at the end of the campaign. But if we can catch it quick enough we can force a map change and everything stays peachy.
Last night I was a bit too slow with the buttons, reading the stats that come up thinking 'I'm sure I barfed on more than that?', and missed the window. :doh:

Ah, now I get it :flirty:.
I was wondering why sometimes it does happen and why sometimes not.
Got to say that before I can get in a game otherwise again Steam is sooooo slow...

You can bring up a server browser by binding a key to "openserverbrowser", this allows you to add a server to favourites, be careful with the placement of the browser window when you connect though as it'll cover the password input box. :doh:

I also have keys bound to connect directly to both our servers (uses the connect command just like CS).
