Now that most of us only play CSS on Fridays, it is a very nice get together. However, usually there are always ppl cueing (on certian hours) - I was one of those yday, for instance - while non dMws are playing.
I know that our policy does not support a "polite kick" in order to allow a member to join, and I would not have raised this for Boomer.
However, I am sure all of us are waiting on the chance to join MH on Fridays, in order to shoot some other dMws - I can't imagine a Frdiay without it :-) ; so I would like to suggest this for MH. What do you think?

2 of those "non-dMwers" were original dMw founder members.  I suppose there should really be a badge for that...

Any member of this community is a dMw'er. Who does that leave to kick?

I was on MH last night but after 1 map my UPS started playing up so I had to reboot to shut the thing up. When I got back online MH was full - there was no way I would consider kicking anyone to allow me back on.

Sorry but I really don't think the idea is a starter.

If they are on the MH then they are community members, otherwise they wouldnt have to password to get on there in the first place. Maybe we could intrest you in another game? Normaly fryday nite the L4D server is quiet good also.

We have enough players leaving early to play L4D on CS night, we don't need any more! :sideways:

I also think that it aint a very good idea to boot Non Badge players.
it sure wont help them too even get the Badge.
If i was a non Badge player and i did get booted from the server,i wont never came back...:sideways:

I think others have said.

We don't kick people from servers to make room for others period. Regardless of it being Boomer, MH, L4D or whatever.

Otherwise where does it stop? OK so we kick people to make for regulars, do we then kick regulars to make way for admins and do we kick admins to make way for section heads and do we kick section heads to make way for community leaders? (For example I know that OldBloke waited from ages on Thursday night to get onto the L4D Server).

We've never done it and that's the way it should be.

:withstupid:  Absolutely.

Friday night CSS is a long-time special dMw event that we all know is highly popular so either get there early or be prepared to wait.

1) I've had to wait on several occasions to get on to MH. I get peed off with it of course cos I want to play, but that's my bad luck to be honest.

2) These days MH isn't full for the whole of Friday night, maybe for an hour or two maximum.  I was on at perhaps 9:30pm last night when MH had maybe 14 or so on and so it wasn't a problem.

While I understand your frustration Le Rouge (believe me I get as frustrated at the next man when he can't get on to MH) but I have to agree with the rest on this one.

I do get to play a bit of CSS at other times (sometimes Saturdays and Sundays) so if you see me or a friend online why not join them and if enough dMw'ers are on suggest an impromptu MH hour or two?

I can understand why it could be frustrating, but I have to agree with the others, it's only fair really. If you can't get onto Meathook and want a game go on to Boomer. I went on to Boomer when Meathook was full but no-one came in - so therefore I assumed I must have been the only one wanting to get onto Meathook. :narnar:

shame it's all over so early though.
All the P***heads are tonguing each others vomit, that's why:sideways:
I joined, then when it fizzled out I tried for an hour to get on L4D but that was 8/8 most of the time, and when someone did leave, I got beaten to the spot:ranting2:. I got on eventually though, just in time for loads to leave:eyebrow:... are you lot trying to tell me something?:sideways:

But I wouldn't have it any other way:)

I think what you ment to suggest was a badge holders only server, or a new password MH for friday night between 5pm and midnight for instance.
These are more reasonable requests. I don't agree with booting.

I'm personally not a big fan of the badges, I'm not really sure what they're for. When I'm at uni I play only occasionally online due to ping issues. But I play  CS:S, TF2, L4D, Cod4. I play these with other DMWers without needing to earn the badge (I'm not entirely sure how one goes about that).
Back to my point, I joined dmw because of the relaxed friendly attitude, if you have to play a certain amount of time to play on the server at certain times it seems to go against this principle. I can see it being annoying having to queue, but the way things are represents the group philosophy, everyone is equal reguardless of ability etc.

They're for admins to hand out to each other and feel good about themselves.  Green ones are dispensed among the rest of us proles as they see fit, so be thankful.
