Can anyone recommend the best program out there to stop the children inadvertently stumbling across sties they shouldn't whilst looking / playing games on the Net?

They're now browsing away from Cbeebies etc for the first time and I can just imagine the results she'll get if she starts types in 'Barbie' in Google..... :eyebrow:

Thanks

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.

Check what your ISP offers. Over here some of them offer you software subscription on some software that cleans your surfing + filtering from their side of traffic for a very good price

I used Cybersitter when BBB was young. It was excellent.

Make sure whatever you use pen is clean and doesn't contain any advertising software. Otherwise i can't be of much more help.

Many your isp has a recommendation?

I don't have kids, but I speak from a perspective that I was a kid when the whole internet-mania started. And as those softwares can limit surfing in bad pages, but even the best software can fail or your kid can surf at friends house where it is not limited in anyway, etc etc. In my opinion the best protection is by talking and explain to the child what internet holds and how should it be used. As you all know too much control only brings up the curiosity.

(Lex, The kids are only 6 and way to young for such conversations).

They like looking for arcadey-type games and visit sites like Build-a-Bear etc. I just want to stop them inadvertently coming across other crap

I'll have a look into the ones offered - thanks. Cybersitter sounds good.

Ideally it'd be nice to reverse it and block the internet totally apart from specified websites but I haven't seen any such beast.

More suggestions welcomed - thanks.
