I haven't played it in years so hard to say. It was definitely fun though. :)

As I recall I always got annoyed by people who were really good with aircraft (using proper sim sticks and such).. always struck me as 'cheating' as it's not really that type of game.  Or maybe I just sucked at flying, dunno.

My favourite Battlefield game was probably Vietnam, just for zooming about in a Huey. :D

Which was the one with Wake Island etc - Desert Combat?? That was one I really enjoyed playing.

One of my first LAN, get in a chopper or jeep and turn on the music and drive/fly around, good fun.
I think da_Ricci still has my copy...
Survivor of LAN V, VI, VIII, IX, X, XII, XIV, XVI, XVIII, XX, XXIV, XXX, XXXII, XXXIV and XXXVI so far...

I had a pretty damn good flight sim stick, and I *still* sucked at flying... Never seemed to be able to turn as fast as other people.

Its all about the choppers in desert combat, I think desert combat was better than vietnam and BF2 put together :P

Battlefield Vietnam's soundtrack was epic.

The game that i played at my first dmw lan :)

The new 1943 looks like bf2 with a better engine but the gameplay footage doesn't look very impressing
